About

Why photography?

In October 2009 I received a Nikon DSLR camera for my birthday. I had always been interested in cameras but had never really picked up anything other than a point-and-shoot or cell phone camera. I took a few pictures with it and I was hooked! Everything from the weight of the camera in my hands to the loud *THWACK* the shutter/mirror made when I pressed the shutter release.

The more pictures that I took the more I felt connected to the images. I started to feel my emotions communicate through my images.

Soon, I started taking portraits of family and friends. I loved it. I was able to communicate through my images in a way that I was never able to before!

I was working as a customer service representative at the time...

Despite the long hours and high-stress level I gained some essential experience in the field of customer service.

After a couple of years of learning the trade I took the plunge and decided to move from Michigan to Florida to pursue my dream!
